For the second time in a row, CIVIC is announcing an anonymous project competition to design a motif for the external facade of the pavilion. Students, alumnae:i, and employees of the HGK Basel are invited to participate. This year's question: HOW TO FOOL THE FUTURE?
The deadline for submissions has expired. We would like to thank all participants for their exciting proposals! The jury session will take place at the end of May 2024.

WHAT:
The competition was developed in the spirit of CIVIC IS WHAT YOU MAKE OF IT. The CIVIC Billboard is an artistic, visual and site-specific display, a message to the public. The competition was developed in the spirit of CIVIC IS WHAT YOU MAKE OF IT. It is an annual competition, and the jury will change every year. We will publish all designs here on whatiscivic.ch.
HOW:
During the review process, all designs will be anonymised before being reviewed by a jury comprised of students, external experts, and a staff member. By the end of May, the jury will select one designs. It will be realized and awarded CHF 1,000. The motif will be displayed for one year on the pavilion façade outside the HGK Basel as a CIVIC billboard printed on a 20 x 6 m tarpaulin.
WHO:
All students, staff, and former students of the HGK Basel can take part.
